Hello everyone! It has been nearly a month since the last update, and that it mainly because I have been focused on working with manufacturers to create the samples of everything.

Usually I don't make samples of my work, but because this is a new technique I found it would be helpful to do so.

FIRST UP!

Both socks were made perfectly on the first iteration and I couldn't be more pleased.

They look GREAT. I have made a video about these you can view on either platform > Instagram | Tiktok

The colours are super vibrant and the patterns really clean so I'm super happy with how they came out <3

Most of the pins are looking perfect! The only one that don't are the ones I struggled colouring the most which is the orchid mantis and millipede.
Greys are very limited in colour when it comes to pantones, so it's a challenge to even capture that pin in good lighting. Ultimately I will be making the light band more saturated yellow so it looks less white, and the darker filled grooves even darker to pull the shape out better of the main body. The mantis will have a slightly deeper shape of pink so that the markings can stand out.

I am getting a second sample round done of those two so if you'd like to wait for those, you absolutely can.

Most of you have probably noticed that the surveys have gone out earlier this week! About 70% of you have filled it out so far which is GREAT. Thank you all!

During the surveys you will be able to choose your favourite pins, add new ones and change your tier if you'd like. Now that you can see all the samples, you are free to edit your choices until the second round of samples will be done! Which I hope is no more than 2 weeks. After that I will be charging cards.
Shipping will once again be charged later! In 2027. I will let you know if the prices change, though I really hope they don't.

If you missed the campaign and are still looking to find these goodies, the pre-order store is now open! You can get everything there including all my other old pins and such. These pre-orders will be shipping alongside the new pins, so if you just want the other older pins, then I suggest you use my Etsy instead! (I will have a shop update before Christmas)

Keep in mind the pre-order store does NOT count towards earning freebies for either this or my future campaigns. Backerkit simply does not have that feature built into it.

Hello everyone! I am currently in the guts of designing the final files for the pins and choosing the proper thread colours for the socks.

This is a very quick update because.... well. Our ambitious sock design had an unrealistic background colour- which completely messed up the perception of the sock and how the colours flowed together. Unfortunately the dragonfly has become doomed yuri... What do you mean pastel banana yellow isn't a thread colour?! Sigh....

I did my best to match something to flow well with the yellow, though it's more muted. But I got very frustrated, and as I went colouring the background to every single possible colour, I decided to try a full cherry blossom scheme too. So now I'm giving you all two options.

Yellow? Or pink?

This is going to be a VERY QUICK poll because I would like to send these off for samples ASAP, as the threads need to be dyed and that takes time too.

And beyond my expectations by a million. I want to thank all of you for the one last big push, it turned out that we were in overtime with the campaign for over 4 hours (that's CRAZY)

Big props to everyone who has joined our little grasshopper family. You all are incredible and we wouldn't be here without your incredible support, excitement, and push for more things... like yuri



At the end of the campaign there I was slowly starting to lose my mind with marketing. It's honestly the hardest part for me personally, and it sort of drives me coockoo if I do it too long (if you saw my tumblr posts well... thank you for surviving them) This is honestly what spawned bug yuri into existence. I love to add a little fun flare to things, a little silliness, and that silliness is going to manifest into bug girls kissing

The spontaneous goal of €4,800 for yuri was ambitious, and I can't believe we actually surpassed it- I'm shocked! So now I will be in the business of delivering yuri to you all. And not just a single sketch either- I'll do a short comic about these girl, or die trying.

I'll be working on finalising the artwork and sending it off for samples! Both pins and socks. Once samples are produced I'll be setting up the surveys and opening the preorder store. Hopefully all goes smoothly. For the moment you can rest easy and know that lots of bug stuff is brewing under the hood <3

Hello hello everyone! We have come quite the ways since the start of this campaign, and I must say.... I'm so proud of us. I did not expect this to get so much love and attention, especially because it's such a different style compared to my other works. But I couldn't be happier. You're all amazing, please pat yourselves on the back for making this become a reality <3

Now after tallying up all the votes from Backerkit, Instagram and Tumblr, we have arrived to the conclusion that the CHOCOLATE MILLIPEDE has won best in show for the socks!

But that's not all... to show my gratitude to you all, I actually elected to put another design in as official.... because it has lovely autumn vibes, and I think these two go well together.



So from now on, you're able to pick up both or only one of these if you so wish from the add-on section <3
